In the last few days, you might have noticed that uploads are slacking, the website doesn’t load properly and it’s super-slow or not even available at times.
For the last 14 months, we have been using 1&1 IONOS as our main hosting and domain provider. Their services were ok, but calling their staff and trying to explain an issue was not something we wanted to do on a daily basis. After multiple attempts and email/chat conversations — after pointing obvious issues to their team — we have decided to cancel our contract with them due to the slow hosting services and the 260,000 inodes (files limit).
Moving to another hosting provider when you have 200,000+ files to transfer is not the easiest thing in the world. We appreciate you coming back and re-visiting the website and we apologise if your journey was disrupted.
- Hostinger is not only for people on a budget, but it’s a great hosting provider if you are just starting up, growing or scaling your website. Their customer service team was extremely helpful in the process of us moving files from one place to another. They do have a faster hosting compared to many other providers, great uptimes and a very supportive team of people on live chat and email, replying in just a few minutes. You can also get a free domain or an SSL certificate (a security protocol that provides a secure channel between two machines or devices operating over the internet or an internal network) if you sign up to any of Hostinger‘s plans.
- Cloudflare is a web-infrastructure and website-security company, providing content-delivery-network services, DDoS mitigation, Internet security, and distributed domain-name-server services. A great tool and platform for some extra optimisation and faster loading speeds.
- Piio is the latest addition we’ve added to MRSORTED and it’s a page speed and image optimisation tool. It uses the latest and most advanced technologies to optimise image quality and improve page load times, while giving a positive signal to Google and its search algorithms.
We are now fixing expired links and adding more and more products. If you have any questions, hit us up on [email protected] or post a comment and we will reply back as soon as possible.
