Originally designed as a handball shoe for the indoor sports which are very demanding on footwear, Adidas SPZL was made in 1979. Thirty-five years later, an Adidas fanatic, Gary Aspden from the UK, with the help of Adidas curated a sub-line of the brand (SPZL), which is the German sportswear-giant’s mass produced secret. The label offers a unique retro-appeal which is reminiscent of the late ’70s and early ’80s era. The silhouettes are simple and minimalistic, but made of high-quality materials.
