The ‘Wedge Sole Sneakers’ from Alexander McQueen are a cornerstone of the fashion house’s collections. Loved for their premium construction from calf leather, luxurious and minimalist styling, and exaggerated soles, the pair comes accented with gold-tone branding and perforated sidewalls. Detailed with red suede at the heel panels, they are made in Italy and fitted with the very all-important chunky rubber soles underneath. To lessen its environmental impact and to reduce cotton consumption, Alexander McQueen will no longer provide a dust bag for its sneakers.

Alexander McQueen is a British luxury fashion house founded by Lee Alexander McQueen in 1992. Driven by uncompromising craftsmanship and unparalleled creative vision, the designer started his journey in the fashion world by working for Romeo Gigli in Italy. Between 1996 and 2001 he was the creative director of the French luxury house  Givenchy.

In 2010, shortly after Alexander McQueen‘s death, Sarah Burton was appointed as a creative director for the brand. Since then, her intuitive understanding of the titular designer’s vision is imparted in the label’s offerings. Reflecting a unique attitude in menswear, womenswear and accessories, her design inspiration comes from the street culture and the modern trend-setters. Sarah Burton continues to showcase the label’s romanticised brutalism and impeccably crafted collections by expressing fragility and strength, tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity, and life with every collection.
