[ Reacting to Surprises in Life ]
Alexander Wang is a New York based fashion designer best known for his unisex silhouettes and dark urban aesthetic, producing both menswear and womenswear, as well as footwear, handbags and accessories. He found his namesake label Alexander Wang in 2004 and debuted at NY Fashion Week in 2007, to find a great success in his career. In the spirit of defiance and disruption, the designer teamed up with the iconic German sportswear label Adidas for a series of dynamic collaborations, blurring the lines between luxury fashion, streetwear and sportswear. By inverting and deconstructing the Adidas‘ logo and emblematic 3-stripes in an irreverent nod to bootleg culture, the NY designer is creating inside-out constructions from unexpected textiles, and materials.
