Alexander McQueen is a British luxury fashion house founded by Lee Alexander McQueen in 1992. Driven by uncompromising craftsmanship and unparalleled creative vision, the designer started his journey in the fashion world by working for Romeo Gigli in Italy. Between 1996 and 2001 he was the creative director of the French luxury house  Givenchy. In 2010, shortly after Alexander McQueen‘s death, Sarah Burton was appointed as a creative director for the brand. Since then, her intuitive understanding of the titular designer’s vision is imparted in the label’s offerings. Reflecting a unique attitude in menswear, womenswear and accessories, her design inspiration comes from the street culture and the modern trend-setters. Sarah Burton continues to showcase the label’s romanticised brutalism and impeccably crafted collections by expressing fragility and strength, tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity, and life with every collection.
