Carefully adapting and modifying Carhartt‘s core product characteristics for a different audience of consumers who value refined designs and quality, Carhartt WIP was born in 1989 under the title “All American Concept”. Its founder, Edwin Faeh, made sure that workwear is not only looked upon as a trend and started to adopt the style from graffiti to hip-hop and skateboarding, to help contribute the international success of the brand, and to also walk the fine line between workwear and sportswear.
