GUCCI
[ Common Sense Is Not So Common ]
Gucci is an Italian fashion label founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, making it one of the oldest Italian fashion brands in operation today. Like many historic fashion houses, Gucci started out as a luggage manufacturer, producing luxury travel goods for Italy’s wealthy upper-classes, as well as equestrian equipment. Today, the brand is one of the world’s premiere luxury fashion houses with its historic designs of apparel, footwear and accessories. In 2015 Alessandro Michele was appointed as the creative director of the brand and quickly managed to stick to the label’s roots by reinventing the Gucci logo and modernised the classic, high-powering brand with his androgynous, idiosyncratic, and personalised designs with intricate animal motifs.
