New Balance‘s iconic 991 model, a trailblazer in contemporary running shoe design, enters a new era with the debut of the MADE in UK 991v2. This updated silhouette takes its first steps in a remarkable collaboration with Stone Island, infusing industrial-inspired design elements.
Drawing inspiration from the transformed industrial spaces that once served as venues and clubs, Stone Island paints a palette of utilitarian olive, grey, and black. The shoe’s technical mesh upper is reminiscent of latticed metal, expertly overlaid with premium suede and nubuck.
The “industrial concept” is coated with texturised leather foxing along with an array of reflective accents to provide visual enhancements at night.
Prominent features encompass co-branded accents on the tongue and exclusive custom packaging. Below, New Balance‘s reliable and trustworthy ABZORB® foam midsole ensures comfort and cushioning. Additionally, the outsoles are graced with Stone Island‘s iconic compass logo, creating an immersive and distinctive experience.
Stone Island and New Balance‘s 991v2 is scheduled to drop at stoneisland.com on October 4th for around £220. A global release on newbalance.co.uk, and selected stockists on will follow on October 18th.
